day 12: what's in my bag?

this is my current 'bag' from Fossil.
Inside my bag, I have a little make up bag full of lip gloss, chap stick, hand sanitizer, lotion, and a mirror.  I also have a wallet, a little bag, a glasses case, deodorant, and my keys. Usually my purse is full of receipts and trash, but I just recently switched to this purse so it is all clean. :)

this is what's inside my bag.

day 10: what I wore today

Nothing entirely special. Just a black shirt from Target, a black tank top from Forever 21, 'almost famous' brand jeans from Plato's Closet, moccasins from DSW, and a gifted necklace.

day 09: my beliefs

I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins, and that He is the only way to God.
I believe that the Bible is inspired by God, and I believe everything in it.
I believe in loving every person even your enemies.
I believe that family is most important.
I believe to be poor and happy is better than rich and miserable.
I believe in love.
I believe love is a commitment and a choice rather than just a feeling.
I believe in hard work.
I believe nothing is impossible or hopeless.
I believe in forgiving others as Christ forgave and still forgives me.

day 08: a moment

For the past few weeks, I have been attending a bible study that takes place on my hall. During the bible study, us girls share our thoughts and secrets to each other. And we have all learned to love the moment where we share a secret or personal thought and hear "ME TOO!" as a response from one or more of the other girls.

It is that moment when you realize that you are NORMAL. You are not alone in what you think. You are not alone in what you do. It is a great feeling just to know that you are not the only one.

It is amazing how many thoughts and feelings we hold inside of us because we are afraid of what others will think. But really most other girls are struggling with the same things or are thinking the same things! I know in the past I have struggled with some things that I at first held completely inside, but finally when I shared it with someone, that someone was struggling with the same thing I was! That was a beautiful moment.

After that experience, I have grown to love the "me too" moments, and it has greatly encouraged me to open up and be myself even when I feel like no one is the same. Because chances are there are others who feel, think, and do the same things as me.

day 07: my best friend

To Chloe Wead,

I love you so very much. I am beyond grateful to God for blessing me with such an amazing friend like you! You have always been so encouraging to me and to everyone you meet. You always force me to look at the positive side of life even when I insist on being negative. And for that I am very thankful.

Thank you for all the adventures that we have had and the ones that have yet to come (summer 2011... so excited). Thank you for making me laugh with all the funny things you say ("I have a deep fear of drunk people," "CONDIMENTS!," "Don't be racists against my eggs"). Thank you for skyping me when we are extremely homesick and crying with me when things get tough. Thank you for making me laugh after feeling so bad. Thank you for being my friend even after ditching you for Jeremy in the early years of high school. Thank you for sticking with me and my family throughout the past couple years. It has been really hard, but it was made easier with a friend like you and your great family.

You are extremely talented. Never forget it. God has given you an AMAZING gift of songwriting, guitar playing, and singing. Don't ever stop making music.

There is so much more I could say but Chloe, you are simply my best friend, and you always will be. I love you, Chloe!
